professional programmers.....?

I'm a telecommunication engineer and I really like to be programmer, I feel that I found myself in this field so I decided to study programming but I need help.

I have two questions, the first is :what is the best powerful programming language....?

the second question is : must I learn database to be programmer....?

thanks for all.

  1. Don't concern yourself with "the best, most powerful language". Learn as many as you can. Like actual languages, once you learn one, it's much easier to learn another. That being said, to start you should probably concentrate on either C/C++, JAVA, or C#.

You don't HAVE to learn databases to be a programmer, but you really should. It's pretty much expected that a programmer should be minimally proficient in SQL and RDMBes. Many companies don't have a dedicated DBA--it's a job that's shared among the developers.

  2. if u are looking for an easy language, then i tried the visual basic 2005.net,it is quite easy but it needs the .netframework with its applications

then, there is java but there is JRE required to run all its applications

and there is C and C++

i got visual C++ 2008 that there is a kind of its projects doesn't need the .netframework but it is quite hard that u have to type code to make the form and buttons

for the best info about programming ,i advise u to visit

    http://www.dreamincode.net

it contains some languages tutorials and u can ask if u need a code and they are very helpful there

beside that u can visit msdn forums

  3. C,C++,Java , most real life projects need a database.

  4. i cant help you on the language but where i learned programming in collage database was required for programming but its not like that in all jobs and states but it was here so i hope i answered at least part of your question.
