  1. join a pro.clubs amateur teams, they all have them cause thats where they fing the next generation from-if you are good enough you will soon be spotted-good luck

  2. Are you in a club already? At your age, if you want to consider playing rugby professionally, you should at least be in a good club, if not playing for your county or region.

There ARE academies, many have rigorous entry requirements. You may be asked to pass a fitness test, you will need references and in some cases there may be a written test. Most of the premiership clubs have an academy, so check this out: www.premiershiprugbyacademy.com. Most academies run schools for the school breaks [3-5 days] which are a good induction, and test whether you can keep up with the gruelling training sessions.

If you are not already in a club, get into one now! To get to the top requires a lot of dedication, and once you are in a club, you can progress onto a better club, such as Bristol [or depending where you live] the coaches at the club will also have many useful contacts.

    Good luck!

  3. You need to either be playing for a well known school a good club with a decent tie to a professional side so the scouts can see you. With out knowing where you live its diffcult to know what clubs are around or waht the structure of your union is?

  4. You'll have to choose between Union and League. Concentrate on one or the other, they are both great games only different.Don't set your sights on becoming professional, you might not make it.Start in the amateur game, at local club level, see how you get on from there. Always have a plan 'B' regarding your future.
