Progesterone Induced Miscarriage?

I have been miscarrying for over a week now. My baby has no heartbeat but everything is still in tact. I was given 4 tablets this morning. My OB said it would be so painful that he gave me a darvocet prescription as well. I am experiencing a bit more pain but the cramps aren't any worse than a period or even after birth cramps. I am having alot more tissue release but I also discharged one of the tablets, am I going to have to do 4 more again tomorrow?

  1. I don't know. but when I miscarried at 8 weeks, the pain was horrible as if I was giving birth to a 7 lb baby again. It is taking place now and should be over soon. If not, they will need to do a D&C. With this happening over a weeks time, they should really think about doing one now to reduce chances of hemorrhage and sepsis.

  2. Oh I am so sorry.

My sister had a similar miscarriage but had to be hospitalized because the baby would not pass. This was so emotional for her.

Unfortunately the same type of procedure they do to women who want their child,But sadly have to deal with such an ordeal is the same procedure they preform at abortion clinics.

Because of your situation -as my sisters. Your ob may opt to preform the procedure in the hospital. She was hospitalized for 2 days with some minor discomfort.

I am pro-life so to think of such a procedure happening to unborn babies wanted is heart wrenching.
