Program called SpyHunter slowing down my pc..?

Question

I installed SpyHunter a few days ago because I had tons of Adware problems. Now that I've deleted the parasites, I'm starting to notice my computer is running...quite a bit slower then before.

I ran a Defragg, Disk Cleanup, all sorts of things. It doesn't seem to make all that much of a difference.

I can't help but think the program called SpyHunter is what's slowing down my computer.

Any suggestions? Is it possible that SpyHunter is slowing me down?

SpyHunter is likely rogue software. Or at the least, worthless. Get rid of it.

Do a little research on security software before you download it. There's no other way to know what you're really getting. There are plenty of good sources of info and reviews of decent products online, such as at http://download.com , http://pcmag.com/ , http://www.adwarereport.com , http://www.anti-malware-test.com/ , and http://av-comparatives.org . Check them out. =)

Spyhunter is bad

Try avast : not the greatest thing since sliced bread but still not the worst one out there and it's free!

I think that Spyhunter isn't a very good program. A review from Adware Report said that "We recommend that you avoid this product at all costs. It failed to remove any spyware in our tests and the scan results were filled with false positives, a probable marketing ploy designed to separate fools and their money"

You should download Spybot S&D and scan on it.
