Program not responding WHY? Its driving me mad!?

Every time I try to look at websites the sceen freezes then a grey window appears saying program not responding end now ,then everything goes back to the start.I've been trying to sort it out all night!Can anyone help please?

If you're using IE, pls try using Firefox instead, much safer. Also, pls update & run your anti-virus & anti-spyware programs. Clean up your computer with ccleaner. Here are some links if you need them.

Try another internet browser, like firefox, internet explorer, opera, etc.  Usually that sort of problem happens when sectors of your hard drive have gone bad or your file system has become corrupted.

You can run chkdsk in the command prompt to check for file corruption.  If you don't know how to do this, I would recommend seeking professional computer help.

Mine had been doing this for about 5 weeks. Microsoft's reply to the auto send a message about this problem kept saying that it was either A, a virus. B, update needed to IE...(I hate IE 7 so that wasn't an option). C, YAHOO TOOLBAR.

I knew it wasn't a virus etc so I removed YAHOO TOOLBAR after this had happened 50 times & guess what ? It's stopped. Yahoo ask es during removal why I was removing & I told them & they came back with rubbish & c**p not covering the problem. If you've got yahoo toolbar remove & see if it removes the problem for you.

Try to re-install your internet explorer.

That might help it.

You need a new computer man... Your cpu can't handle the web. What are the specs of it?
