Program not working. The system turns on - the vacuum moves approximately 1 foot and then stutter

Question

The system turns on - the vacuum moves approximately 1 foot and then stutter stops and proceeds to spin backwards for 20 seconds and then stops and starts again in reverse. This occurs on all settings including spot cleaning. I believe the program is not working. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.
