Program to pause downloads off the net?

I need a program that can pause my downloads since i download large files and my net isnt fast enough to do it all at once.

but ya remeber there is no download manager which supports sites like rapidshare, megaupload

The best way is to use a download manager. I'm not sure if you stop the download right now, it will resume the next time you download it again.

With Firefox 3 you can do that. You don't even need a separate program.
