Program to take pictures with?

Question

Hi.. I was wondering if there is a program that will allow me to take pictures of things on my computer. Like for example a take a picture of my desktop. I usually use Prt Scr, but I don't like it.. And I tried HyperSnap, and I don't really like HyperSnap.. So if anybody knows any program that will let me take pictures, please tell me.
