Programing my Garmin Nuvi 200W For A Trip?

Hi i just bought a Garmin Nuvi 200W and programed itfor afew short trips to test it out. The GPS worked fine on ome trip but then i programed a second trip and it got me to my destination allright but i was on some back roads that i did'nt want to be on.

My question is when i begin programing what do i select to prevent my ending up on old back roads instead of the main highways ?

I have heard to program the unitfor the fastest way with avoidences but how can i get the avoidences selection to show so i can select it?

there'll be a setting that tells the machine you're in a lorry. Select that and it'll avoid minor roads.

I can't remember how to do it off the top of my head-but it's under the settings option
