Cannot find any codes for an element tv? Is element a sub company from someone else? Is there any codes that work for these tvs?

  1. Element Electronics is a somewhat new product line owned and manufactured by Petters Consumer Brands, LLC.

But, you're looking for a code to program some sort of universal remote (maybe your cable remote?) to work with your Element TV.  The manufacturer of the Universal remote either has, or has not, included Element in their program list.  If it's not on the list of your remote's user manual, then the IR codes for that TV are not stored in that remote.

Some universals (and cable or satelite remotes) have an extended capability where you can "scan" for IR codes.  It normally requires you to turn the device (TV) on and allow the remote to cycle through different combinations of IR pulses until it finds one that turns the tv off (at which time you confirm the TV has shut off by pressing a button or something similar).

Check with the operators manual for your remote for a code "scan" function and follow the instructions.  With any luck, you may be able to turn the TV on/off and maybe even control the volume... but probably not.  That's one of the disadvantages of buying an off-the-wall brand.

I've included the Element Electronics website below, but it's not going to help you, sorry.

If the company grows a bit, maybe you'll be able to buy a new remote with the Element codes written in it.
