Programming the AA number

I reformatted my pc months ago. Everything works great, however, when I restart or start up I always receive a message saying that the AA number has not been programmed, please press enter to continue. How do I program this AA number so that I have a smooth start up or restart?

  1. When you "reformatted your pc", did you also do a BIOS update?

    According to the link below:

"The AA number is a 9-digit Intel part number used to differentiate between desktop board families, different configurations within a family, as well as revision history of the desktop board."

There are links for further information included on that page.

  2. AA number...?!?

    I've never heard of that.

Have you performed a virus scan recently...?
