Programs for kids in the community?

Question

I am interested in getting ideas and information for programs designed for kids after school that can be put in place in a community based program.

We are looking into Boys and Girls Club and Big Brother-Big Sister programs now. Any information on that would be helpful (if you have done this in your community, pros/cons etc.).

What other programs for at risk kids would be helpful?

I have a meeting as part of a community group on Friday to discuss this and would appreciate information before then.
