Programs for putting videos on Youtube?

I have a Windows XP and I am never able to put videos on Youtube. I use Windows Movie Maker and every time I try and upload a video it says that it is unavailable. I wanted to put a slide show of me and my friends as a present to them on Youtube.. but it won't work. However I used a friends laptop recently and was able to get a video on Youtube using Quick-time. Is there a program I can use besides Quick-time on my Windows to make this work? Or is there some way to make my already made video into a Quick-time video from Windows Movie Maker? Thanks!

If you are making the video using Windows Movie Maker (WMM) then make sure the file extension (the thing with the dot after the name is (.wmv) and not (.wmmp). If it is the second then you are saving incorrectly.

Ensure the file format is correct before uploading to youtube...

Using windows movie maker -- you have to save it into the proper file format, that is "wmv" file (use the "save movie file" on the menu at the top left) before upload..

The WMV file will be smaller in size but still quite good quality.. so uploading it will be faster.

--for best editing....

use windows movie maker (included in your windows machine)... it can help you make beautiful slideshow or video clip(e.g. mixing your songs with pictures/video/etc).... then save it as video file such as wmv file format... finally upload.

or .. Just get those clips you want , save & convert them, and then mix/match with pix/sound/etc using windows movie maker to create new masterpieces....

this will help you.... Use 'zillatube'. This is the easiest (and also the fastest) way.

Zillatube produces mpg/mp3 formats from youtube that are compatible with windows movie maker(or media player), and more.

It is very easy to download and convert videos. Then edit those converted mp3/mpg videos with windows movie maker... save your file as wmv and then upload.

It works very well....just google search for "zillatube"

on windows movie maker there should be a button that says save to my computer that exports it in the right file that youtube accepts i have done several videos like that so hope this helps

im not sure...because since there are many versions of making videos with windows movie maker depending on your friend's laptop version...just save the video and publish the video...put a title..save it where u can remember and try making teh video again...i don't know how to use quick-time...and how to save it and download and everything but i know fr windows movie maker...this is all i can say..:D
