Question:

Programs take a while to open?

My programs take a while to open lately, and I want to know why and how to fix it. After I double click, the program stays highlighted for a while, and then opens right after the highlight goes away.

I only use 40GB out of 160GB space, and have 1GB RAM with an AMD Sempron 3300 2GHz processor.

It wasn't like this before, so is there a way to fix this?

  1. Run a Antivirus software on your computer

and to a disk clean up

and try to reinstall that software

    go to www.anthonyscomputerservice.us

  2. spyware malware adware or possibly windows vista

  3. My advice is to first Download Avast and Spy bot, odds are you have a trojan horse or spyware. These are vicious things that slow down the system...Avast and Spybot are both free and have very high ratings

  4. Many issues could be the reason, but start with what's running in the background & turn off any unnecessary applications for starters.

If you've got Norton or Mcaffee suites, these are bloatware and use up gobs of resources and that can be a source of the slowdown.

Try a system cleaning & defrag, too: a good system cleaner is 'CCleaner' but be careful with this as it really does a lot of file & system cleanup.

Make sure the 'c' drive is compressed & index service enabled (look in 'c' drive > properties for these).

Adopt better system maintenance habits (do on a weekly basis) to avoid these protracted 'fix up' sessions.
