  1. Cheaper is not always better. While you might think that with cheap coverage that your vehicle is fully covered, think again. Granted, some larger companies have questionable coverage. However, you should never base your decision about car insurance based solely on the cost of the policy.

I have Geico...and they are wonderful. I insure my truck and my jet ski though them and while it is a little more expensive, the coverage is excellent and I have never had a problem. Even after a serious accident a few months ago, the damages to my truck (almost $8000 worth) were fully covered, along with the damage I caused to the other vehicle. Also,  medical expenses for the other driver were also covered.

My rates did not increase at all.

  2. Call around, get quotes. You need to do some running around on this because each company will look at your record and vehicle differently.

see this http://gsx1.com/InsuranceComparison.html it's one form to get a number of quotes from different insurers. It's free and a big time saver, these are all the main American insurers competing to get your

business so you are bound to find something that suits you, if it works out remember my points please :)

  3. Try AIG. I switched to them quite a while ago. Gieco and Progressive can't even come close. I had called them both to see if I could really 'save up to 20% or more'...

A site I've recommended in the past would be...

    http://insurance.deal4-you.com

    Hope that helps.

  4. you should go to http://fsturl.com/BC and if you enter your information into the form, they'll give you a quote from different companies and you can compare the different prices for different services. it saves you a looooot of time. i ended up saving about 250 dollars a year.
