  1. what's trip sense?

  2. The trip sensor can not be used to influence your rate...up or down.

Besides....if you got hit and are not at fault this is what insurance is for. Why would your rates go up? If you are the person who hit and ran then you are a loser. Le's say your rates do go up a bit. What is worse - Paying a couple hundred more a year or being out $1000's to fix things?

The trip sensor looks at how people drive. It can use the read out from your ecu to tell how often you drive, how far you drive, speed. There is no magic in it that can tell your car was hit....even if there was when you signed up one of the rules was that it can not be used to influence your rates.

  3. You have insurance, your car was hit but you don't want to report the accident because your rates <MAY> go up?  That is being penny wise and pound foolish.    Why even have insurance if you don't/won't use it?

  4. Okay, first of all if your rate will go up at all, it won't go up until the policy renews. Secondly, the longer you wait, the more likely they are going to think the claim may be fraudulent.

Save yourself alot of hassle and report the claim now.
