Question:

Progressive scan? Do I really need it?

Have ordered a HTIB from Circuit City, then realized it doesn't have progressive scan, so since I don't know what it even is, should I cancel the order or what? Will I later realize I need it. What the system will be used for mainly is TV and music, sometimes would watch a DVD. By the way, if anybody has any recommendations as to which is a good "middle of the road" system would love to hear what you were happy with. Wireless rear speakers, yes or no.

  1. Progressive scan, good to have if your eye can tell. Videophile can. Currently most new model came with progressive scan with no additional cost. Just search around the webs and sure you will find one that suit your budget. My recommendation is pioneer. If you do not have problem laying speaker cables to the real, don't go for wireless. Don't spend on something that do not improve the sound.
