I'm doing a project proposal for my Intro to Socioology and we had to come up with a hypothesis.
Here's what I came up with: Though women shop more than men, men are more likely to spend more money.
Here's some things that I have to take into account. I'm talking about money spent on oneself, which can be complicated if one is a relationship. While I am single, I have more money to spend on myself, my roommate however splits the cost of dates, and buys gifts for her guy.
Also, reasoning behind my hypothesis.
Women buy little things(accessories, clothes, personal items, grooming items, etc.) We spend more time around stores, yes, but we're buying relatively low cost stuff.
Men however buy things of more value. For instance, video game consoles, video games, cars, gadgets and other things for their cars, grooming items, etc. They sort of invest their money "wisely" I suppose, while we women live day to day-in a sense.
Please tell me if you agree, disagree.
