Projector has a usb connector with the connector for computer?

i have this projector (its infocus) an it has a strange jack on the back and it comes with a wire to go to that and that wire has 2 wires branching off of that and one is blue its for a laptop, and the other is for usb and if i just plug in the blue one it works fine and if i plug the usb into my computer also its no diffrent. what does the usb do?

Some projectors have a remote control that allows you to use mouse controls from the remote.  So the projector's remote is essentially acting like a USB mouse for your computer.

This is useful for doing presentations, or you could even surf the web to some degree this way, though you'd need a keyboard for entering text, of course.
