Question:

Prom Problems?

The girls in my year are organising the prom, and I think (as does most of the year) that they're doing a poor job of it, and thus causing many people to pull out, which in turn means we may not have a prom at all!

I really want to take charge (in a nice way) and sort out the problems, and oranising it better. Is this a bit too bosy?

And how should I go about it?

  1. No be calm and slightly bossy! If people weren't bossy, nothing would get done! :)

Take control but don't make yourself look like your in charge. Say a few pointers and tell the girls that other people have told you that they wanted that at their prom! Just be calm and cool.

But if everything goes wrong at least you know it wasn't your fault! :)

Anyway give it your best shot! Tell them you want to do alot more than what they are planning! Tell them everyone has high expectations and if they can pull it off everyone will love them and have a great party!

Be in charge but don't forget that they might realise sooner or later!

  2. Ask if they'd like help organising it.

Chances are they are getting fed up of getting no-where fast!

If they want to keep doing it themselves, and keep making a complete mess of it, have a word with your year head or tutor. The prom is the best part of secondary school! And it shouldn't be ruined by people who can't organise things properly.

  3. Offer to help. you and a group that feel this way. Outnumber the slackers and just do the job right without ever trying to dislodge anyone.
