Pronounciation help?

I often hear ppl say:

did ju

would ju

When you pronounce these this way, do you touch the upper roof of the mouth for the "d", then "ju", or merge "dju" together, so you don't touch the upper roof of mouth at all?

The ciorrect and proper way to pronounce is Would you, did you. The lazy contraction formed by running the two words together is slang and not apporpriate
