  1. Making money was one of the motive of the IPL, but there was i nice motive behind it also.

The BCCI wanted to improve the standard of the domestic cricket in India which in turn would attract crowd to the cricket field even for a domestic game.

Also it made our domestic circuit global, now everybody in the cricket playing world knows Yousuf Pathan, Ghoni Abhishek Nair, Ojha etc which are domestic players.

So except making money IPL achieved much more.

  2. I agree, you certainly are deluded if that's what you think! The whole thing was money driven from go to woe, and nobody can deny that. Without international players it vwould have been a miserable flop, and that is why large sums of money were waved under their noses to induce them to play.

  3. prime target was to make money

other points given in by BCCI is

    - improve state of domestic cricket

    - find new talents

    - a new thing to come up with

but to me all de other things were bullshit .. money money money tats what for it wz made n hella!! i enjoyed it so no complaints

  4. They offered tons of money to Dhoni, Symonds and many other players. If they were after money they would have bought both of them a lot cheaper. If you own a team, win or lose you make money so why pay more money to win? Practically speaking if you play cricket, you win some and lose some so what's the point in buying expensive players?

  5. money is not main problem for them

they played for money and team

  6. Well your deluded if you think the main motive of the IPl wasnt the money. What other motive was there then

  7. It is mainly for money as well giving feast to cricket loving persons
