According to history manual of the sixth class of primary school in turkey:

Page 19: "The islands of Aegean are under Greek occupation"

Page 24: "Greece does not have the power to keep the peace at the Aegean"

Page 65: "Peace in Asian Minor and safety in Asia will maintain only with the return of these islands to Turkey"

Page 110: "Turkey defined our territorial waters within 6 miles from the mainland in 1930. Thus Chios, Lesvos and Samos are located within the territorial waters of Turkey. The right of sovereignty of a country in its own territorial waters, allows it to practice the same rights for the islands that are within these waters."

According to the Turkish historian Hasan Cemil all the ancient civilizations of Aegean - Greek included - where of Turkish origin! (Ege medeniyetinin umumi bir bakis, Ankara)

According to Selahattin Salışık Turks came to Aegean in 2480 b.C and Democritus, Herodotus, Hippocrates, Pythagoras and Homer were...Turks!

How do you judge this type of history teaching? Should modern states cultivate the propaganda on their citizens, relying on their sensitivity in order to achieve national interests?
