Propane tanks at Lowe's--empty tank credit?

Hi, I'm getting ready for a BBQ and very low on propane. If my husband picks up a new tank on the way home from work, can I take the empty one for credit tomorrow?

I can't run and do it myself, guests are on the way and traffic there and back is awful.

Thanks for any answers, I can't get anyone to answer the outdoor department phone at our store!

No. You only paid for the propane.  It's a really good idea to keep a spare, filled one, around.  See?  Ifyou had a spare you wouldn't be in the pickle you are.  My girlfriend has 2, and never runs out.  Keep the 2.
