Proper Charlie heads market for Racing UK Handicap at Kempton
Proper Charlie is the centre of attention following his wonderful Lingfield success earlier this month. The bookmakers are expecting the 4-year-old to continue his good work in the class 5 Racing UK Handicap, taking place at
Kempton on Tuesday, May 15th.
The 6f event has attracted a dozen entries. According to the program, the contest will be started at 18:50 GMT. Among the confirmed participants are:
Proper Charlie, Riflessione, Links Drive Lady, Mawjoodah, Cut Across, Sermons Mount, Sketchy Evidence, Spin Again, Pick A Little, Roodee Queen, Efistorm and With Hindsight.
Proper Charlie took a lot of time to register his maiden success. The bay gelding started hunting for victory in July 2010. Despite two unlucky seasons, William Knight’s trainee did not lose his determination and has been performing
well since the beginning of this season.
At the start of this month, the dashing runner topped the chart by a neck’s distance in the Betfred Mobile Casino Handicap (Div I) at Lingfield. With a win under his belt, the colt is full of spirit at the moment.
Riflessione is another to consider. The 6-year-old has been performing consistently over the past few months. He was runner-up in two of the last three races.
The Ronald Harris-trained was pretty impressive in his most recent outing. The spectators at Ripon saw him finishing second in the Malosa Medical Apprentice Handicap last month.
He was a bit unlucky in his last three appearances. If luck smiles on him, he will have a great chance of winning today.
Links Drive Lady is also carrying decent chances of grabbing the top rank. Although victories seem to have dried up for the 4-year-old filly, her experience is hard to ignore.
In her last appearance at Kempton, she did well to ensure the third place in the skysports.com Racing Handicap (Div II). The filly knows this track very well and thus, she cannot be ruled out of the equation.
According to our calculations, it will be mighty difficult for Proper Charlie to continue his winning journey. Both Riflessione and Links Drive Lady are in good position to spring up a surprise. We wish the best of luck to everyone.
