Proper Pink favourite for Animee Queen Mother Memorial Cup Trial Stakes Duplicated
The bookmakers have backed Proper Pink to win the Animee Queen Mother Memorial Cup Trial Stakes Duplicated at Sheffield in England on Tuesday, March 6, 2012. The winning greyhound will be awarded with a cash prize of £200.
The 660 metres Grade OR event will start at 19:43 GMT and the six entries confirmed for it are: Proper Pink, Mays Millhouse, Newmarket Flyway, Derrane Jake, Kildare Wren and Sprig Hill.
Proper Pink was out of form over the past few months, but has started improving her performance recently. This encouraged the bookmakers to award her with the best odds for Sheffield race.
A. McKenna’s trained b***h last raced at this venue in February, this year. She was unable to deliver a strong result, ending up fifth overall. However, her timing was still not bad, which suggested that she had regained form and fitness.
The punters might not be confident enough to place their bets on the favourite hound, as she has been unable to bring up victories in her recent outings. She is the daughter of Westmead Hawk out of Proper Lu Lu and was born in February 2009.
Mays Millhouse, trained by G. Ballentine, has also been given very good odds for winning today. He is in good form and it will not be a surprise if he dominates the proceedings today. However, he will be up against some quality runners at Sheffield and will
not find things easy at all.
The black dog has got some momentum with him, as he finished runner up in his previous outing at Sheffield. He is expected to improve his overall performance and fight for victory today.
Mays Millhouse is the son of Last Bid out of Perrys Lace and was born in August 2009.
Other than the top two favourites, Newmarket Flyway has also been in impressive form over the past few months. He managed to win his previous two outings and the bettors will be interested in putting money on his victory.
R. Gray’s trained greyhound is the son of Droopys Scolari out of Newmarket Way and was born in December 2009.
The competition seems to be a lot closer in the Animee Queen Mother Memorial Cup Trial Stakes, as the top three hounds are pretty evenly matched. They will have to fight hard for victory, as their stamina will be tested in the 660 metres event.
