Proper ebay selling and shipping...?

Question

So i sold an item on ebay. What now? I have to wait for the payment on paypal... but when i ship my item to their address, whats the proper way to do so? Do i need to make my own reciept and place it in the shippment box? if im doing it USPS, whats a good way to do it? Confirmation mail? or just send the sucker and be done? Im scared they might say, " i didnt get it" or watever.. anyways,

whats the proper procedure of shipping an ebay item?

Trust me you want to send the item with "confirmation" at the post office or any mailboxes etc. Just make sure you get confirmation, because it happened to me... where I sold a $400 phone, sent it and the guy said he never received it, he filed a claim w/paypal and then paypal took his money back leaving me without a phone and $400 just cause I didnt have a tracking number. Wait until his payment goes through before you send the package as well and you should be good.

Ship it with Priority Mail.. It comes with free delivery confirmation.. So when they recieve it you will know. you can also track the item with the tracking number they give you so you know when it arrives. If your worried about them saying they did not recieve it or it is damaged ect.. then give them the option to purchase insurance, and write on your pages that you are not responsible for items lots or damaged while shipped if insurance is not purchased.

The proper procedure, im thinking, would be to send them an email saying thank you for purchasing the item and requesting their home information. Then when you pack the item and receive payment, you say that the item was sent out today. You can print out a receipt from paypal and put it along with the item and carry it to the post office where youll pay shipping to send it to the person. Also when you give them the method of shipping it depends on if the item is in a letter style package or a box. Then the method of sending differs. :=]

ship it with acknowledgment so that you can know when they receive it. Payment through paypal would reach immediately. Not much delay in it. You have to ship it with your receipt.
