  1. I think if your order was rather difficult (extreme amount of modifications) and for many people, it's just courteous of you to give someone $5 or $10. Especially if it was during a peak dining hour (11:30 -1 or 7-8:30.) Aside from that, maybe just give $2-3.

It's usually a server who has to take time away from diner's eating in who has to take of your meal & accessories. They are losing out on time & cash they could be getting fromsomeone who has dined in.

  2. It's not expected at all if you go in the establishment to pick it up, but it is nice if your order was large or complicated.  But I never expected it.  Although I was pleasantly surprised one time when I had to cook and box up a large order fast for someone whose aunt died and all the family came over at once.  That got me a $20 tip for helping the family out on such short notice.

  3. nope no tip

but some people do leave like some change(pennies, nickel ect. even  a dollor or two) in a change bowl if there is one avalible

  4. It depends on what you're referring to...if I'm picking up a pizza or something from the local pizza joint, I might throw some change or a buck into their tip jar.  If you're referring to ordering some sort of curbside-to-go service that many restaurants are offering these days, thats a different story.  Although 15-20% is not required, some sort of a tip is definitely appreciated.  At Applebee's, there are people assigned to the "Carside" service, and they have to answer the phone, collect, expedite, dress, and bag the orders, and bring them out to the car.  It is a time consuming process, and I would consider about $1 an item an appropriate tip (depending on how complex it is).  If they bring it out to your car, I would definitely tip, and take into consideration if the weather is bad - have some sympathy haha!  If you go in to the restaurant to pick up your order, a couple of dollars is sufficient for an average sized order (higher if your bill is higher)  - I would say about 10% would be very nice, but you can adjust accordingly.

  5. dont give any change, they dont deserve it, they didnt do much to get a tip, but still be polite etc,and maybe leave some change in a charity box or something

  6. Usually the host or hostess will fill to-go orders. If there is a bowl or tip jar, then of course leave something. It is not necessary to leave a 15% tip as you have not had extended service. Fast food restaurants like Taco Bell, Wendys or Carls Jr. No tip.
