Question:

Proper seating position for clutch?

I bought a sports car with a manual gear box. I always had a manual transmission, and am good at shifting. When I got my new car, depending on my seating position, I had a better control of the clutch in different seating positions. Is there a guideline how the leg should be position to have the optimal, smooth workings of the clutch?? Some of my clutch work is sloppy in different position than other, and for racing I am sure there are guidelines to take advantage..

  1. The seat positioned so my leg is bent around 45 degrees is the most comfortable for me.
