I'm looking to buy a property in the France whats the best website to find properties for sale.

AND if I find one what the best way to change my GB Pounds into Euro's???

rightmove.co.uk also shows properties in france, spain etc.  They are a large company and I should imagine they could be trusted to give accurate information.

Either type in immobilier or notaire and the area you wish to buy. Notaires are normally cheaper commision rates . You will find most french notaires (soliciters) & immobiliers (estate agents) have somebody who speaks english & ,unlike english based agencies , they will remove properties when they are sold. From experience  there is nothing worse than travelling to France to view your perfect propery only to be told " sorry we sold it yesterday"  In fact the property has been sold for months or even years but they never seem to check until you arrive.

The first question is : where do you want to buy a property ?

You have local real estate agencies, best way is to plan a visit around, speak with people and discover the surroundings and the real value of the property.

Don't forget to visit notary (there are kind of lawyer for formal and legal selling acts but can also have some activities linked to real estate.
