I was recently involved in a auto accident where I was rear ended by a semi. Needless to say I'm pretty messed up and dealing with the guys insurance company. My question is how do I put a value on a box of photos I had in the trunk. They were my photos from trips I've taken (spanning 10 years) all over the world from Cuba to Baghdad etc and after the accident it rained and water ruined all of them. The worst part is I had photos of my old K9 police partner who is now dead and they meant the world to me. Please help......

  1. Unfortunately, you can't put a value on memories. You can request a settlement for a dollar amount that you feel comfortable with. Include your pain, suffering, and loss of the photos in this settlement claim.

  2. You can only claim the actual value of the photos (developing/printing costs), not the sentimental value.

  3. they will pay you  the value of the rolls of film.  sorry but they do not place value on sentimental items.  How could you?  I know mine are priceless as I am sure yours were.  sorry about your loss
