Proposal Idea.... What do you think?

Question

I plan to propose to my girlfriend on September 20 2008 at Cedar Point Amusement Park in Sandusky Ohio. We both love each other very much, and I plan to spend the whole day there and make it really nice, and then at the end get on a ferris wheel seat alone with her and at the top of our ride ask her the question above the lit up night overlooking Lake Erie. I think it sounds great, but I want to hear what other people have to say. I WILL be awarding 10 points to my best answer. Thanks.

It's a bad idea. This is gonna make her feel like she is a "sideshow" act.  I mean a amusement park, yikes, get real. GROW UP!

Great, Idea! You dont really need any advice you have thought of everything. Well, I can suggest one thing since your proposing and I'm sure she will reply YES YES YES. Try to always stay romantic in the future many couples forget that after marriage, kids and etc. A key to a healthy marriage is good communication and having a strong partnership.GOOD LUCK

That is so sweet!!!  Cedar Point is so much fun and your plan sounds beautiful!  She's a lucky woman to have such a thoughtful and romantic husband-to-be.  

Make sure she doesn't find the ring during the day though.  So if you're bringing a backpack or something, keep control of it, like if she needs something out of it, get it for her, don't let her get it herself.  Also, since you're not getting down on one knee, make sure you ask her "will you marry me?"  

See if you can call ahead to arrange something with the park or the ferris wheel operator so they know what's going on and maybe they'll help you out a bit.  Good luck, congratulations, and like someone else said earlier, don't drop the ring.

I think its wonderful.. Cedar Point is actually a beautiful park.  Lake Erie really makes the park amazing.  It sounds romantic, I am sure she will say yes! Congrats!

EDIT: I was just thinking, maybe you should try to wear pants with a zipper pocket, if you are going to be on rides all day, you don't want to take a chance of it falling out! Good Luck!

that is the cutest/sweetest thing! not because its every girls dream but because you thought of it yourself! that is always a bonus! Most girls love it when their man is creative and spontaneous! Your idea is perfect and personal...something that comes from the heart! :)

First off,,,,, Pre-Congratulations!  I don't know how she could say no with a proposal like that.  You have really thought this through and are creating a memory that will be told over and over again as you both grow older together.  That is the best kind of proposal.  Good luck and happiness to you both!

Aw, I think that's really cute, and she should love it, but it might be a bit hard to get down on one knee in such a small space like a ferris wheel.

I think that is a great idea...You should try to set it up to give a camera to someone in another ferris wheel seat to snap a few pictures of you two while you are proposing to her.  Or at least after you do it give your camera to the ferris wheel operator to take a pic once you get back down.

I think that's a very sweet idea cute and unquiet. She'll have a great day and at the end she'll have a even greater day. Just make she isn't scared of heights because if she is that's going to be tough.  

Also, make sure you keep the ring in a very safe spot while you go on rides. I'd hate for you to lose it.

Great thing about proposals is anyone will help you out... so if you can talk to the guy operating the machine tell him to leave you guys up there for a bit... they'll totally do it and give you time to make it special!

That's soooo beautiful! It would be awesome if you could have the music on the ferris wheel changed to her favorite song or if you guys have "a song" then they could play that. That would make it perfect! Just make sure you ask her just as you start getting towards the top, that way when she says yes, you'll be right at the top! Good Luck!
