Please describe instances when proposals could, or should, be used in your work place.

Also, please describe how you might use proposal methodology in personal (e.g., household, academic, vacation) decisons that you make.

Proposals as you have described them would entail a summary of what the current situation is, what the suggested situation is, and how the suggested situation is better than the current.  And, if known, why it's better.  Proposals might be as simple as the typical "suggestion box" or could be a more elaborate program or even an assignment or consultation with management.  Almost any change takes some form of that process and it would be easy to apply it to virtually any decision.  Maybe you're broke.  What would it take to relieve that situation?  You could get a job.  It would be better because they would pay you, but it would eat into your free time.  Maybe you can't decide what to major in.  You need 5 more courses to graduate in math, but you would need 6 more courses to graduate in computer programming.  You might end up finishing earlier if you went with the math, but you might make more money in programming.  Which is preferable, why?
