Proposing to my husband?

My hubby and I are looking at renewing our wedding vows and I want to surprise him by being the one to randomly propose to him.

The only problem is that he doesn't like wearing rings so what do people recommend to give him i'm all out of ideas

ok don 't laugh, my husband doesn't wear a ring either because he is a mechanic so I went out and found a small wrench and had it put in a larger ring box and then i proposed.  This was also after we had been married a year and I did it on our one year anniv.

Have you tried any other form of jewelry ... my dad never wore a ring because he was a mechanic ... but he wore a chain around his neck for my mum. Other ideas would be something he keeps in his wallet ... a money clip with your names and date of marriage and renewal ... it doesn't necessarily have to be ring ... could be anything of sentimental value to the both of your or even just to him!

mayb a nice bracelet or chain, something he can wear everyday and be reminded of u.......a watch is nice or some kind of electronic or something added/upgraded on his car would make him happy!!!

I don't like wearing a ring either, but I do for several reasons.

1. It is a symbol of our eternal vow

2. It lets others know I am married, taken

3. It reminds me of my vows of Fidelity, to honor, to cherish

I have a nice light titanium one that is so light I hardly know it is there

Give him something thats meaningful to him.  My husband hates wearing rings because he plays alot of sports, so he just takes it off when he plays - and he wears no other jewelry.  You could get him an engraved watch if he wears watches - or you could get him something (a piece of art, a sports item, etc....) if he has a collection of something.  Make it something you can always have in your home.  My husband gave me a beautiful Disney original piece of art that was signed to me by the artist - it hangs in our family room and I love it!  

You can also get him tickets to a play or a concert and plan a romantic dinner before or after - you just need to build a memory - don't focus so much on the gift - but more on the memory because thats the special part!  

Also check out a store called Things Remembered - they have a website.  They specialize in engraving gifts and have alot of cool stuff.

Other than his wedding band, my husband does not wear any jewelry, so I would go with a watch with an engraved back. My father collects pocket knives, so he would love a really good knife. With my brother it would be a sword, and my grandfather - a gun

Not sure what it is with the men in my family and weapons, but my point is, go for something that is special to him.

You don't have to give him anything i think you asking will be good enough.  You good write something just for him.  Plan i a nice dinner even a picnic in your living room, do it all romantic candles, flower petals the works.
