No real need.  Better to do without.

Pros: blocks out sun, defender cant see your eyes, keeps dirt out of eye, makes you look good

Steve Spurrier at South Carolina has always worn a visor at every game. Ive seen the case full of them just for the coach its crazy.

Pro: Protects your eyes

Con: If you spend money on a one that is tinted, you can't wear it because it's illegal.

Pros: Reduces chance of a facemask

        Reduces glare; don't have to put those black stripes under your eyes very single game

Cons: Can't see as clearly (you can see, but in rain and fog it kills)

Overall I like the visor

Pro- Sun doesn't bother your eyes.

Con- Darker vision, if a cloud covers the sun you may not be able to see

If you wanna wear one to reduce facemasks, wear a clear one.
