PS2 is the winner as far as last-generation consoles go.  It still sells well and there are still games coming out for it; Mercenaries 2 for instance which comes out this week.

Between the PS3 and 360, you're just begging for fanboy wars.  Regardless, they're both good for different things.

PS3 supports better graphics and is also a Blu-Ray player.  Lots of good exclusives coming out in the future for it.

360 boasts a stronger online community, and they have good exclusives coming out as well.

Either way, there are a lot of aspects about each respective system, so unless you can really specify what you're looking for in a console, it's hard to really list everything.

I have both consoles

I Prefer the PS3

The PS3 has my favorite of the Exclusives(Resistance 1&2, Metal Gear Solid 4, LittleBigPlanet, Home(not released yet), Motorstorm1&2, Etc...)

The PS3 has Blu Ray and a Internet Browser

Free Online Service and built in WiFi

although, if you buy the 360, most people have headsets

You can find used games for a little cheaper

has some good exclusives (my only Favorite, Bioshock, is going to the PS3)

but the 360 has a major Hardware problem

But it depends on what you are looking for and what kinds of games you want

PS3 Cons: More Expensive, Not as in depth online, Harder to develop for, Not as robust lineup as 360 currently

360 Pros: Currently better lineup, Cheaper, More popular

360 Cons: Loud, No web browser, Online Not free,

The Xbox 1 did have better hardware than the PS2, however God of War 2 look better than any Xbox 1 game so I really can't answer that.

alright so  i have both. i would say you get a better moneys worth for the ps3. the ps3 comes with a built in wi-fi adapter, blu ray player, internet browser, and has free online services. 360 is awsome too! xbox live is great not that expensive, however if you want to buy the same coponents the ps3 has to offer you'll be spending about ..an extra 300 hundred dollars, wi fi adapter=100$, hd dvd player=180$(i think) and xbox live for a whole year is 60$. but the 360 has a much larger games library. however, again the xbox 360 often will get the red ring of death basically an error, that doesnt allow to do anythin!!!!!! and then you have to send it to microsoft, but it takes atleast a month to do the whole proccess.
