Pros and cons about medicaid?

Im trying to get health insurance through medicaid, because Im prego and I dont like the ensurance I have. Pluse Im not gonna be here that long enough to use through the whole pregnancy.

can you always apply for medicaid if your employed now and then re apply once your un employed?

oh and also, the goverment doesnt come back @ you to trying and get you to pay for medical expences do they?

has anyone had a problam later?

  1. Some states will not allow you to have other insurance and medicaid. But some will. Eligibility is based on the income of the household, so in most cases, all family members incomes in the household will be counted. Doesn't matter if you are working or not-as long as you meet those guidelines.

    Some states do try to recover costs paid from the person's estate after they have passed away-but usually only if there has been a large payout.

    Most states also have residency minimums you must meet-either that you must have been in the state 30-60 days and/or that you intend to stay in the state.

    You will have to google your state and medicaid to find out the laws in your state.
