   That is not an entirely accurate statement, the pros weren't just for the dominating country, though I don't believe the pros for other countries out weighed the cons, but for example in africa, "Some benefits were roads, railroads, schools, hospitals, improved sanitation, and better farming methods. When medicine and a better nutrition were introduced to the Africans, the population and the life span of Africans increased. another pro was that this encouraged globa trade which helps the world wide community.

     your also wrong in the sense that you state "the cons are for the rest of the world". when you yourself state a con for the dominating country "millions of lives were lost" while the loss was heavier on the dominated half the imperialist still lost lives.

Cons imperialism is undemocratic
we do not have the military capabilities to protect other countries
imperialism kind of controls people and people do not like that
