Pros and cons of a makeup artist

I got an interest in makeup lately and I want to become a makeup artist. I would like to know the goods and the bads to this job. Thanks!

Cons: when make-up artists are starting out they will spend several years working for limited pay until one day you are good enough to do the make-up for actors/models which you will get paid more for =P

Pros: famous people (: and the fun of it !
