Pros and cons of an independent study program.?

Question

I currently attend a middle school with an independent study program. I hate my middle school ( it started tues. but hated it from the beginning) and am really thinking about doing the independent study program. What would I do in it and what are the pros and cons.

you could change schools.  having people around you doing the same things as you is seriously motivating.  whether or not you like them.  it's kinda like conformity.  when you're on your own you have to focus yourself.  do you have that kind of focus in you?  it's hard but doable.

Independent study is much like doing your homework. You work at home, have assignments, reading, etc. You complete them within a time frame and turn them in online or in person. You will most likely meet with a teacher to monitor your progress weekly or monthly.
