pros:fending off erosion.restoring the natural order.providing clean shores for the public.Cons:cost factors.

Cons:  In some cases, taxes are being used to maintain and/or replenish beach areas which are not accessible by the general public.

depends on the area being nourished. in my area it is being don e to protect the flora and fauna that live on the barrier islands . without it there would be no food or protection from storms.
