  1. Human clones in the form of identical twins are commonplace.  Since human clones are very common, there are no real downsides.  Although, cloning is not legal.  Places where human cloning is illegal include: the European Union  and the U. S.

The pros are potential cures for many diseases like cancer, heart disease, and diabetes.  Also parents who are both infertile could have children with at least some of their DNA in their offspring.  In England theraputic clonig is legal.

  2. Women such as Angelina Jolie, Halle Berry, Tyra Banks and Eva Longoria definitely should be cloned so us regular guys can have a chance.

  3. Pros:

Well, you could potentially clone a new organ, so someone who needs a liver transplant could get one that they needed.

    Cons:

Clones age unnaturally fast. Dolly the sheep died at age six, while most sheep live to be 12-15. This is because as DNA ages, bits off the ends of the chromosomes get lost. This is okay for a little while, because the ends of chromosomes are just empty space. But after awhile, you start loosing actual genetic information, and then your body can't function right. This is why I think all forms of cloning are cruel, even for animals; they die very early of symptoms that they shouldn't get until they're much older.

  4. Well for one thing, the person being cloned could be a fu****g a**hole.  Don't we have enough of those around already.  At least with the normal process there is the hope of natural selection weeding them out.

  5. Pro: 2 of me around

    Con: 2 of me around

  6. Since the government and the church says that no human clones have been successfully produced, there exists no empirical data in which to judge the pro's and/or con's for human cloning. Until human cloning is successfully achieved, we cannot know anything at all about the nature of a true human clone.

    Some potential pro's and con's:

Pro's: could be a major accomplishment along the road to significantly extending the useful human life span; would change the way that we normally think about human life; would open the door to extended space travel to other worlds in the universe ... etc.

Con's: would force humanity to rethink just what it means to be human --- the very nature of conscious life, death, and soul; it would likely destroy old well established social, political, religious based institutions; it would force dynamic change upon a static world.
