  1. Keep them in the same cage, as guinea pigs are very social. And make sure they are the same s*x.

    Pros:

    A lot of personality

    Cute

Fun to watch and play with

    Cons:

    need big cages

need to be fed special diets a couple times a day (make sure to give them vitamin c)

    loud Wheeek noises!

can be skittish when you first get them

  2. Cons:

    Strong smell

Devoted daily care (changing water daily, giving enough vitamin C, keeping cage clean, etc)

    Mostly expensive vet care

Needs 2 sq feet of space plus hide house and feeding area space

    Sometimes expensive

needs weekly cage cleaning and nail trimming, weighing, health check

Can be very skittish at first, need to hold firmly

    Pros:

Only need to change the cage about once a week

Just need to change water and give a fourth cup of good, fresh guinea pig pellets, plus timothy hay once a day.

You can take them outside in a run in the shade and have them eat green grass and dandelions

You can make cheap, good quality, large cages for a lot less than small, store bought ones.

You can get them free when you adopt them or buy them from unsuspecting breeders.

Needs only to be weighed once a week (to watch health

Needs nails trimmed only once every six weeks, can do it your self as well as health check by yourself

Cuddly, friendly, and very cute companions

Here are some websites that help you with all of these "cons" and can make keeping a guinea pig a very enjoyable one.

    Good luck! =D

  3. they make retarded noises NON-STOP.

i find it annoying, some find it cute.

    :]
