i thought that in order to better understand each other, maybe this would be a good chance to answer a question without feeling like you're on the defense.

1. what is it you want to get from this sight?

2. what is your adoption story?

3. what are information are you trying to acquire?

4. what have you learned?

thanks, best wishes.

  1. 1.)  I was hoping to find a support system.  A place to talk to others going through what I am.

2.) My husband and I found out two years ago that he was unable to have biological children.  We are going through with some fertility treatments trying to conceive, but also have been trying to adopt for the two years.

3.) Not trying to acquire information, again, I was just hoping to connect with others going through what I am.

4.) I have learned that there are two sides to every story.  I knew of some problems with adopters and adoptees, but didn't realize just how strongly some feel about adoption one way or another.  I still feel it's the right move for my husband and I.  If we can give a loving home to a child or children in the foster care system, then we will gladly do that and be thankful for those children every day.

  2. 1.  Looking to connect and share ideas about adoption with others touched by it, and if possible help answer questions for those that are less enlightened about adoption.

    2.  I am a prospective adoptive parent waiting for my child from China.

    3.  Not trying to acquire specific information, per say.

    4. Sadly, what I have learned from this site is very little because of the hostility going on.
