Prospective to emerge triumphant from the Grade 3 Ohio Derby at Thistledown
Prospective has a goal in his mind, and that goal is to land a victory in the Grade 3 Ohio Derby on 7th July, 2012, which will take place at Thistledown, North Randall, Ohio.

The trainer, Mark E. Casse, will try to land the victory over the course of 1 1/16 miles, and add another victory to his much impressive record.
Owned by John C. Oxley, the three-year-old will take on a small field, and he will be running against four other runners including Politicallycorrect, Defiant Flyer, Z Rockstar, and Swage.
The son of Malibu Moon is entering with the highweight of 124 pounds, and chances are that he will live up to expectations.
One of the reasons for that is he is already a graded winner, since he trumped the competition in the Grade 2 Tampa Bay Derby at the Tampa Bay Downs on 10th March, 2012, where he rode under rider, Luis Contreras and defeated
Kenneth McPeek’s charge, Golden Ticket.
The duo’s performance was perfect when they landed the victory in 1 minute and 43.35 seconds over the course of 1 1/16 miles, because it was a fighting run, and the runner is capable of showing a great turn of foot in bleak situations.
The familiar distance might be beneficial for the runner, but the change in command might affect the runner a little. For the first time in his career, he will be ridden by rider, Jermaine Bridgmohan, and for the race, Prospective, will be sent at
3 to 5.
The Liane P. Davis trained, Defiant Flyer, is entering the race with the second highest weights of 120 pounds.
The son of Early Flyer, out of mare Rosebud Souix, has been falling short of the expectations, but since he will be ridden by Luis Gonzalez, which is something that might work in his favour, because the jockey’s experience will come in handy.
The three-year-old started his season on 14th April, 2012, when he competed over the 1 1/16 mile course in an Allowance Optional Claimer at the Hawthorne Race Course, where he finished in eighth place, now would be the right
time for him to step up and deliver.
