Prostate issue? Help please!

For about a year i have randomly(once or twice a month) had symptoms after an ejaculation and i have found that these symptoms have been happening a lot more frequently within the past week.

After an ejaculation i get a frequent urge to urinate, although I usually only pass small amounts of urine. It usually feels like i have not completely emptied my bladder. I have a burning sensation in my urethra and i get some pain in my lower abdomen (near bladder). These symptoms only last about an hour or so after ejaculation.

I looked up the symptoms and a possible answer could be prostatitis, however i do not have a fever or chills and the only time there is discomfort is after ejaculation.

I am only 18 which is very strange because prostate problems are most common in older men. Does anyone know what this could be? or what I should do?

Chris, while fever or chills are common with prostatis, they are not absolutely necessary.  The burning sensation might be a low grade infection that you have in your water works somewhere along the way and could, in part, be driven by prostatis.  If I was you, I'd drop into the local medical clinic (or go see your family doc) and explain what's going on.  Best to get it checked out if it's been happening for a year.

You could have an enlarged prostate. Go see a doctor and they can check your prostate. Remember you can get cancer at any age.
