  1. Prostitution is sexual activity in exchange for remuneration. The legal status of prostitution varies in different countries, from punishable by death to complete legality. The term is also used more loosely to indicate someone who engages in sexual acts that are disapproved of[1], such as sexual promiscuity or s*x outside of marriage. Cultural usage varies widely, and the use of the term as a pejorative indicates acts that are not formally considered prostitution in a cultural context. Male prostitutes that offer their services to females are known as escorts, or gigolos.

Pornographic actors and actresses get paid for having s*x, but are not generally regarded as prostitutes. A woman who is supported by only one man with whom she has sexual intercourse but does not live with is a mistress, and is also not normally considered a prostitute.

We can conclude that as long as money exists as the active concept of value in society prostitution will accompany it; and in order to rid society of prostitution we must first rid ourselves of the burden of money and it's overturning power.

  2. a rubber band, a thumb tack, and some duck tape works for me... i mean my friend

  3. Help him get a real girlfriend?

Remind him that the prostitutes are only having s*x with him for the money. They don't like him very much, ridicule him once he's out the door, and would never ever have s*x with him if he didn't pay them.

  4. Is he a worker or a client ??

    I'm going to presume client . . . .

I can only speak for Australia but here you can arrange to be 'voluntarily excluded' but going to his usual parlors and asking the madam not to let him in. They'll usually ask for a small photo to keep behind the reception counter so they can identify him.

Don't know how to address the street walking. There is a publication that goes out to all s*x workers but it's not available to the general public (nor its contact details etc).

  5. He doesn't want to quit.

  6. Always a friend isn't it...

  7. Time to get married -- at least that will stop the s*x.

  8. get him a girlfriend...

  9. If you are really serious about helping your friend and your friend wants out, he needs to seek professional help from social services.  Leaving prostitution is very difficult and can pose great risks to all that are involved.  There are also other concerns like how someone will earn money after leaving prostitution.  Professionals can help prostitutes wanting to leave this kind of work.  I suggest he start by calling Helping Individual Prostitutes Survive (HIPS) @ 1-800-676-HIPS. They help females, males and transgendered prostitutes get out. Best of luck to the both of you.  Be careful!
