Protecting a bird nest?

is there a way to protect a birds nest during a storm while a mother bird and its babbies are in the nest?

Not that I have found.  I have tried and my fam laughs at me!

Not much you can do to help.  The mother will sit to protect the chicks or eggs during a storm, but there is not much you or she can do to keep a nest from being blown out of a tree.
