Protecting shoulder while wakeboarding/tubing?

i have a shoulder injury and i'm getting surgery in 2 weeks. i'm planning 2 go wakeboarding/tubing in the beginning of july and beginning of august.

is there a pad or strap i can put over my shoulder so it stays in place while wakeboarding

  1. when you go to the phisio ask them to teach you how to strap it they should

    you use elastoplast sport rigid tape


  2. I'll be honest, I wouldn't suggest wakeboarding or aggressive tubing till your properly healed. You use a lot of upper body to do either, especially wakeboarding you need both arms in good shape.

    I would just ask your doctor or physical therapist what they think. I have had my share of sports injuries,you can't rush going back or you'll just set your self up for your second shoulder surgery. Whatever you do, becareful.

    But I definately agree there is no reason to risk injury to yourself. You have a lifetime ahead of you and one summer without extreme sports is worth your health later.
