Protecting your carpet from heavy chairs

It looks like my lazy-boy chair legs are going to cut into my carpet, what can I do to protect my carpet.

there are things you can purchase just for your problem,check out a furniture store i'm sure that they sell something just for your problem

If it is a rocker with long pieces of wood you can take a small piece of cardboard and place it under the length of the wood.  If it is an actual chair WalMart has carpet protectors.  It sits on either a square or round piece of plastic that has little teeth.  Try that.

The legs wont cut into the carpet & permanently damage it.

It will just leave indentations that will take time to fade away if you move your chair.
